Pauli Leppänen

Pauli Leppänen has over 30 years of experience in financial management in large and medium-sized multinational companies in infrastructure services, software, consulting, telecom, metals and mining and market pulp, both in Finland and Sweden.

He has hands-on competence in business control, management reporting, financial accounting, financial processes and systems, cost efficiency measures, internal controls, corporate governance, and risk management. He is particularly experienced in group accounting and reporting, investor financial information, annual and interim reports, IFRS, US GAAP, and the SEC compliance issues. He is an experienced educator and has long experience of coaching and mentoring younger employees.

Pauli has had line-manager responsibility of large transactions, such as primary and secondary equity issues, IPOs, listing and de-listing in the USA, mergers, acquisitions and divestments as well as bond and other financing. He has also initiated and led numerous change management projects, such as renewing and harmonizing accounting principles, harmonizing and centralizing financial processes, creating and improving internal controls, and speeding up the closing and reporting processes.

He is currently working as Group Controller for the Eleda Infra Services Group. Earlier, he has been Group Controller for Rottneros AB (2016-2019), CFO for QPR Software Plc (2013-2014), SVP and Head of Corporate Control and temporary CFO for TeliaSonera AB (2003-2010), VP and Head of Corporate Control for Sonera Corporation (2000-2002), Project Manager for the IPO and U.S. listing for Sonera Corporation (1998-1999), Head of Corporate Accounts for Outokumpu Oyj (1994-1997) and Business Segment Controller for Outokumpu Technology Oy (1990-1993). From time to time he has worked as an independent management consultant. He has been responsible for leading and managing teams and organizations ranging from 3 to 300 employees. He has also been a board member and chairman of several subsidiaries.
