During 2013, Nicholas Anderson, Jyrki Koskelo and Ritva Laukkanen joined Sagacitas while Carina Hellemaa decided to leave the company in February 2014 to take up new challenges. Jyrki and Ritva are based in Vienna complementing the company's international presence.
Given the operational and financial challenges that the corporates face, we foresee a strong demand for the type of services offered by Sagacitas also in 2014.
Nicholas Anderson joined the Sagacitas Finance Partners team in May 2013. Nicholas will be leaving Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK) during 2013 after eleven years of working in Finland, Singapore and Sweden for SEK. In his last posting, he headed up SEK Advisory Services, the financial consulting arm of SEK, for large infrastructure export projects in Europe, Russia, India and in Asia. Nicholas is a senior adviser with a long career in finance and banking spanning over 40 years, and he is a leading expert on public and private infrastructure investments, including complex solutions involving partnerships between the private and public sectors.

Jyrki Koskelo and Ritva Laukkanen joined the Sagacitas Finance Partners team at the beginning of the year. Both Jyrki and Ritva have been senior bankers with IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. They bring with them, respectively, 30 years of experience of investments and financing in the emerging markets as well as of the international capital markets, and they have a thorough understanding of development finance, including sustainability and governance issues.
The Board of Directors of Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company has appointed Leena Siirala as new SVP Legal Department on December 20, 2012. She will also be a member of the Management Board, and will commence her duties as from February 1, 2013.
Leena has decided to leave the Sagacitas Finance Partners team as of the same date.
As of January 7, 2013, Pauli Leppänen will start as Chief Financial Officer at QPR Software Plc, a Finnish listed company developing and providing software and services in the areas of enterprise architecture, performance management, process modeling and analysis, risk management and compliance.
Pauli will continue as partner and supporting adviser in the Sagacitas Finance Partners team.
